Procedures:

SAFETY FIRST! Please be cautious and courteous! The driveway can be congested, and we ask for your patience and cooperation when dropping off or picking up your child. Parents/Guardians must enter and exit the driveway in the direction of the One-Way signs. When entering the driveway, you can park on the left or right side, please avoid parking in the middle of the driveway. If you are limited on time, we encourage you to park on the street to prevent having to wait for a parent/guardian to park in front of you.

 

Texas Penal Code- PENAL § 22.10. Leaving a Child in a Vehicle Current as of April 14, 2021 (a) A person commits an offence if he/she intentionally or knowingly leaves a child in a motor vehicle for longer than five minutes, knowing that the child is: (1) younger than seven years of age; and (2) not attended by an individual in the vehicle who is 14 years of age or older. (b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.

 

Automobiles parked on the property must be turned off during drop off and pick-up to keep everyone safe. Failure to do so may result in termination of care. 

 

We ask that parents/guardians are always be mindful of safety practices. This includes, but is not limited to, allowing children to enter or exit the building unsupervised, allowing children to run in the hallways, opening the secured front door for individuals, and being mindful of personal belongings brought into the center during drop off and pick-up time. 

Any designated person to pick-up your child must be 18 years of age and older and must show a valid identification, such as a driver’s license. This is for your child’s safety. During a special center event, parents/guardians must clock out their child for the event and clock back in if the child will be staying for the remainder of the day.

 

Drop Off

Drop Off begins at 7:30 a.m. If you would like your child to have breakfast, your child must arrive before 9:30 a.m. Since the majority of our instruction time takes place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., please make every effort to have your child in the Center by 9:00 a.m. If your child will be absent or arrive after 9:00 a.m., please call or email, and let the Center know prior to, as we must prepare lunch and staff our classrooms for the day. Please be sure to have a doctor’s note if your child arrives after 9:00 a.m. Children returning from an appointment, 13 months and older, can only return with a doctor’s note and after (2:15 p.m.).

 

Parents/Guardians must clock their child in for the day, walk them to their classroom, and ensure that a staff member is present and aware of the child’s arrival.

 

Pick-Up

Your child can be picked up any time throughout the day until 5:30 p.m., any time after 5:30 p.m. is considered late. Late pick-up is discouraged. We understand that you may have an emergency from time to time. After your first late pick-up, you will be charged $5 for the first minute after 5:30 p.m., and $2 for each additional minute after. These charges are PER CHILD. LATE PICK-UP FEES ARE DOUBLED FOR Early Release Days and Days Before Holidays. If your child is still in our care after 6:00 p.m. and we have not been notified by you as to why, we will contact the appropriate authorities. We reserve the right to terminate care for habitual late pick-up.

 

Parents/Guardians must clock out their child for the day, pick them up from their classroom, and ensure that a staff member is present and aware of the child’s departure.
